So every year there is the famous New Year’s Trail, which transforms the city into a festival stage. To end the year, guests can expect an attractive entertainment program, which culminates at midnight in a fireworks display at the Town Hall Square at several locations. Be there when the Pummerin, the bell in St. Stephen’s Cathedral, the New Year heralds and dance to waltz music in the open air. Depending on musical tastes and mood, it is then in the numerous Viennese clubs until the wee hours.
