This penthouse was amazing! for few reasons: 1. The location is the best location in Vienna, walking distance to everything!! 2. The view is to die for, the Opera is across the street and at night it truly is incredible. 3. it was exactly as you see in the picture, very clean, equipped and quite. We were greeted by Ricky, Florian's mother, upon arriving to the apartment. They were kind enough to be available and have the apartment ready even though it was hours prior to check in. Central but not overly populated. If you care to do hop on hop off tours, the Big Bus has a stop just a block away. Our travelling party of four enjoyed our late October 5 day stay at Florian’s apartment. It would be impossible to get a better location than this from which to explore the central area of Vienna. The flat is a two minute walk to Albertinaplatz and 5 minutes at most to the Opera. The Graben shopping area is within easy walking distance as are many of the important sights. Even though Vienna has a great streetcar and metro system we scarcely used it – although I do recommend trying a day pass early in your visit. Extremely user friendly and will save a good deal of ‘footwork’ exploring. The apartment itself is spacious, spotlessly clean and well furnished. Each of the two bedrooms has its own full bathroom and there is a third half bath in the entry area. The kitchen is very well equipped and there is a well stocked Billa grocery store a block away. We were met by Florian’s mother upon our arrival and were given a nice briefing on how to operate the apartment, parking and sights in the vicinity. From the moment we made the reservation until we left Vienna, Florian was easy to get a hold of and full of information. We came with a complex task of traveling with two children under 4 and Florian did everything from set us up with van transportation from the airport to having a crib in the room. The apartment is literally in the middle of Vienna and we had the view of the city. We were blocks from the Opera, the main shopping district, and the Spanish riding school. Also we were across the street from then Mozart park. The apartment was well appointed and full of every amenity you might need traveling with a family. From a washer to wi fi. The hose had it all. Florian's apartment was as advertised. It was very clean and well appointed and the location very central. The bedrooms provided privacy and the public spaces were spacious for family gatherings. We cooked dinner and had breakfasts. There is a wonderful supermarket 2 blocks away. The view from the living/dining room was inspiring. For Americans not used to European bathrooms, the sinks and showers were en suite but the 2 toilets were in the hall. When we arrived, we met Florian easily. Florian's apartment is a true treasure located centrally in Vienna. With its spacious rooms and fantastic facilities I couldn't recommend staying anywhere else! Incredible location in the heart of Vienna, literally opposite the Opera House. Huge space, very light, fantastic views of Vienna. Wow what a property, Very spacious and spotlessly clean. Perfect location in the heart of Vienna with a magnificent view of the Vienna Opera House right outside the living room window. We were 4 adults staying here and there was so much room. All appliances and Wifi worked well. There is everything you need just steps from the apartment as you are located right in the middle of this this beautiful city. Two spacious bedrooms with large skylights that can block out light with automatic shutters. Large modern kitchen and bathroom with washing machine makes you feel like you live in Vienna. This review is from the perspective of an American and his family who were visiting Vienna (Wien) for the first time. I have traveled an above average amount in Europe over the past several years (Paris, Barcelona, Brussels, Amsterdam, Prague, etc). I wanted to give some context to those who will read this review. Customer service and ease of use- In a word, fantastic. Florian was available by phone or email all the time. I ended up emailing him because I was roaming with my T-mobile telephone and had free data. He was extremely quick and efficient and very welcoming. Easily recommend this property on that alone. The best customer service I have had in Europe. Location- Unbeatable. This is right where you want to be, surrounded by excellent restaurants and an 2 excellent grocery stores: Julius Meinl and Billa Corso. 1 block from the Albertina, which is the best museum in Vienna (in my opinion). Safety- Top notch. I always felt very secure in the apartment. View- Very good. You have an excellent view along the Tegetthoffstraße. Vienna travel Recommendations- Without a doubt I recommend that you visit a heuriger. This is essentially a country restaurant/wine room that has incredible food and value. There is a taxi stand right down the block that can take you to the countryside for about 18 euro. There are generally taxi stands to bring you back from the heuriger as well. Specifically recommend the Heuriger Wolff. Furnishings- Very good. The apartment was expertly clean and well maintained. I enjoyed the modern furnishing. The bed was firm and I slept well. Bathrooms were large, clean and well lit. The kitchen was modern and had a nice refrigerator and dishwasher. Overall Impression: Excellent. I would recommend easily to my friends. Florian was great and always available on Whatsapp, also to help us with the reservation of taxis to and from the airport. The pictures were exactly like the apartment which is bright, airy, comfortable and cozy. A great space in the best place to be in Viena. Right in the center and attached to Plachutta! The great common areas, dinner table and kitchen table, allowed us 3 sisters with our families to share a great week where we could sit and talk for hours.
