The structure of the opera house was planned by the Viennese architect August Sicard von Sicardsburg, while the inside was designed by interior decorator Eduard van der Nüll.
Today, the Vienna State Opera is considered one of the most important opera houses in the world; in particular, it is the house with the largest repertoire.
- St. Stephen’s Cathedral

St. Stephen’s Cathedral is the number one attraction in the city:
Tours in and around the Cathedral feature plenty of worthwhile things to see and lots of interesting information. You can also climb up St. Stephen’s Cathedral (South Tower, Türmer Stube), take the lift up to the Pummerin (North Tower), or go down into the catacombs. - Hofburg Vienna
In Sisi’s footsteps, the Imperial home and household. For many centuries, the Vienna Hofburg was the centre of the Habsburg empire. Three museum attractions provide historically accurate insights into the tradition and daily life at court: the authentically-furnished Imperial Apartments, the tasteful Sisi Museum and the Silver Collection as a comprehensive collection of Imperial utilitarian objects.
The Imperial Apartments, Sisi Museum and the Silver Collection are amongst Vienna’s top sights, attracting around 600,000 visitors each year.
- Wiener Rathaus – Rathausplatz
The City Hall is one of the most splendid amongst the numerous monumental buildings along Vienna’s. Today the City Hall is the head office of Vienna’s municipal administration. More than 2000 people work in the building. Visitors are stunned by the magnificent appointments of the state rooms, which frequently provide an atmospheric backdrop to various events such as press conferences, concerts or balls.

- Wiener Prater
The Wiener Prater is a large public park in Vienna. The so called “Wurstelprater” is the oldest amusement park in the world. But the Wiener Prater consists of more: the Hauptallee (the main alley), the Krieau and the Praterstadium (Ernst Happel Stadium) belong to the area of the “Wiener Prater”. - The vienna giant ferris wheel

- Schönbrunn Palace
Schönbrunn Palace is part of the World Cultural Heritage and Austria’s most visited sight. This Baroque synthesis of different arts, consisting of a palace and gardens, has been in the possession of the Habsburgs for centuries, and is today largely in its original historical condition. Visitors will find numerous attractions, from a tour through the authentically furnished residential and representational rooms of the Imperial family in the Palace, through the maze and the labyrinth in the garden to a separate children’s museum.
